From HR Director to Transformation Coach
I spent 23 years working in HR, navigating the corporate career ladder to Director level of large organisations, but in 2019 I left everything I knew in Poland behind to move to the UK to be with my now husband. Not only did I become co-parent to a blended family of six, but this was right before a global pandemic that left us all adjusting to these new dynamics.
During this time, I was forced to explore my own fears, emotions and uncertainties and I now draw on these experiences to guide and support my clients through their own transformations, offering not just coaching expertise but genuine empathy and understanding.
Anna Ewer
Transformation Coach
My passion for coaching started early in my HR career when I worked alongside business owners who excelled at driving results but struggled to effectively manage and lead people. I stepped in to provide support and guidance, helping them cultivate their people skills and become more effective in their roles.
I found myself coaching the team I was working with before I even knew what being a coach was and I realised how they appreciated this guidance on becoming more effective leaders.
I quickly became a trusted mentor for executives, owners and my director peers. While continuing to fulfil my HR duties in various roles, coaching and mentoring emerged as my true calling.
Driven by my love for this work, I pursued formal training in 2014 with the International Coaching Community (ICC) and obtained my professional certification. This recognition validated my natural coaching abilities and allowed me to introduce structured coaching sessions as part of our talent development programme.
Guided by natural intuition
One of my greatest strengths is my intuitive ability to read people and notice their underlying emotions, fears and unspoken thoughts. This natural ability to understand and connect with people profoundly influenced my approach to leadership and management and allowed me to contribute to building a culture of trust and openness.
Employees felt comfortable confiding in me about interpersonal issues, whether related to team dynamics, conflict resolution, or career progression. Rather than issuing directives, I chose to engage in coaching conversations, guiding individuals towards solutions and empowering them to take ownership of their professional growth.
Naturally, I have an intuitive coaching style. I strive to understand my clients' thoughts and emotions as if they were my own and translate that understanding into practical strategies for personal and professional development. It's a skill set I’ve refined over years of hands-on experience and continues to evolve as I encounter new challenges and opportunities for growth.
With my unique blend of corporate experience, natural intuition and personal experience of transformation, I’ve become a trusted guide for those seeking to unlock their full potential and create a life they truly love.
Transformative life experience
Moving to the UK in 2019 prompted me to re-evaluate my professional life. I’d made a huge personal transition but needed time to consider my next professional move.
Although my corporate role offered stability and comfort, I’d been feeling confined - often having to implement decisions I didn't necessarily agree with. As much as I enjoyed coaching and developing talent, aspects of my job such as restructuring and terminating employment no longer aligned with my values. I also found there was less and less time, space or energy to do the things I wanted to do or take care of myself properly.
I realised it was time to pursue something more fulfilling that aligned with my true passions.
My own transformative life experiences led me to embrace transformation coaching - helping clients navigate the complexities of significant life changes in both their personal and professional lives. I’m passionate about empowering individuals to navigate transitions with confidence, clarity, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Life is for living
One of the most profound lessons I've learned along the way is the importance of living in the present moment and acknowledging our feelings and emotions.
Thanks to daily meditation and a commitment to self-development, I now have a deep sense of presence and acceptance - a practice that's allowed me to fully and authentically embrace life, free from the constraints of past regrets or future anxieties.
When I’m not coaching, or learning about self-development, you’ll find me with the family or outside walking, gardening or cycling.
I'm constantly seeking knowledge and insights from books, podcasts, and other resources on coaching, self-development, and personal growth. This continuous learning journey fuels my passion for coaching and encourages me to evolve alongside my clients. I'm currently expanding my knowledge of coaching at ILM Level 7 and EMCC EIA Executive and Senior Level Coaching.
Nature is my sanctuary, my refuge from the hustle and bustle of daily life. There's something truly rejuvenating about being outdoors.
I'm also passionate about animal welfare. To me, animals are not just pets - they're members of the family and I'm deeply committed to their well-being and supporting animal welfare initiatives.
